Five top things to do in London - a budget
Fortunately, help is nearby and there are a lot of great things to do that does not involve splashing the cash.
In the first place, London is home to some of the most renowned international museums and art galleries in the world. Visit the amazing National Museum, the Science Museum and the Tate - whether free or minimal entrance fees. These are ideally it would be achieved by tube if you stay in apartments of victory or guided visits to hotels and if you plump for the British Museum, could also take part in a Japanese tea ceremony, or join one of the free.
For those who opt for staying in the apartments in docklands, they are perfectly suitable to discover the history other than this hot part of the capital. For a profitable activity, join one of the historical routes around this area and visit the old pubs close to the apartments in docklands to a genuine local experience. It is an enchanting place to find accommodation for your trip too, both apartments Docklands and Canary Wharf apartments are well placed and abundant for visitors from here and a great place to absorb the hustle and bustle of this vibrant and creative business centre in London.
If one of the apartments in Canary Wharf has been reserved for your stay, you will be in luck: is a great place for good value food. Look for traditional sectors ' n mash shops in the nearby docklands extravagant cockney food at excellent prices. There are also a number of tender tea rooms around the area and in London in general: Spitalfield head to the largest concentration and avoid paying forty odd quid at the Ritz of his tea and scones!
If the weather is good, then head to one of the city centre parks - once more to choose their accommodation London, especially in the areas around Victoria apartments are the best choice for groups of people and more abundant than the nearby hotels. Choose wisely and will be easy to walk or distance of travel of public transport in the Park the incredible Regent, Holland Park and famous Hampstead Heath.
Another great thing do is book your London accommodation wisely and near Leicester Square during a main movie. Victoria apartments are well located for this or look at Hyde Park apartments, hostels and hotels are all fighting for visitors - and hopefully to come to see a red carpet premiere of free cinema, or could book in matinee cheap show performance: head of the box office for the same day better bargains.

21 Things you never want to hear the word of flight captain
Without doubt, a trip to the airport can be quite an experience. While flying is certainly an incredible luxury - and that can be carried around the world and something that is seemingly improving every day available flights, better skilled, extremely talented pilots and airlines well managed that have doubled their efforts for the recognition of the client - there are some lines that all as passengers prefer to listen to never commented on the intercom while aboard a transatlantic flight.
With this comic reasoning in mind, here are some classic lines that have been heard, or who never want to hear your flight captain say, when they are sitting in the narrow rows of seats ten funky smell crammed in his non-stop flight to Denver with a baby crying in a side of you and an uncontrollable and hyperactive two years ago,, on the other. On a high note, before delving in, fly is the most securely known transport man, and well worth any inconvenience minors that can be experienced in transit to their destination.
21 Things you never want to hear the word of flight captain
1. "It's just a bug in the engine;" "we will be taking off shortly."
2. "Houston... have a problem."
3. "Please remain seated while the Air Marshal removed the alleged bomber of the aircraft".
4. "Have to do some rough weather, only one of the many miracles that we see every day... Let's see if we can manage to land the aircraft safely".
5. "We deactivated for takeoff!" "Only 25 aircraft in line ahead of us!"
6. "Please, board level;" "This plane has failed their tests".
7. "Does anyone know how many metric tons of fuel that we need to make it safely to Sydney?"
8 "Flotation devices equipped under their seats, but it is likely that when we give the ocean to 2,000 miles per hour, they can also damage is to use".
9. "Rest assured, as its captain come with great experience..." "200 hours on the simulator of flight and finally, get some experience of direct flight!"
10. "The flight is more than 15 hours to Sydney, enjoy their films in flight today are the series 'Final destination'".
11 "I never knew that the iPhone had a pilot application 747 automatic..." "NIFTY!"
12. "Welcome to France, we hope you've enjoyed his flight." Now if there is someone who speaks French fluently in the aircraft, please ask a flight attendant to accompany him to the cabin; "to we are having a difficult time communicating with flight in English control."
13. "Vamos... key impact!"
"14 Are now modified in line in the rotation to land at LAX... once they have removed the 30 planes will make our final approach".
15. "We regret to inform you that our flight has been diverted to the nearest major city."
16. "Our time of arrival has been delayed!"
17. "So please be prepared for an emergency landing, I bet we beat paramedics by at least half an hour!"
18 "It will be hard landing but with any luck we will reach this beast on the ground safely."
19 "Both engines are out, but our wings should enable us to glide safely in a nearby meadow adjacent to the airport."
20 "Please remain seated until after land and bomb squad finished cleaning the plane".
21 "Jenny Stokes in row 57 C..." "I put the plane on autopilot so we can go back and sing happy birthday to you".

Lost in translation in Bulgaria
For decades backpackers have created new trends in travel and over time it thus opened to destinations unknown to the public in general. Bulgaria could become such a tourist point in the future. And in case you wondered... I don't mean the area ominous part off the coast of the Black Sea that is constantly tormented by hordes of drinking until the drunken yobs Chase affordable booze! There is much more to this country that is a perfect candidate for any adventure year gap. Before I began with my ramblings, there is only a small thing that I would like to clarify that otherwise could lead to a range of side effects, unwanted by their travel. An essential element that probably establishes the Bulgarian culture in addition to everything else is that people tend to shake his head to say "Yes" and on the other hand cabeceará their head when they want to say "no". Many Bulgarians don't speak English so it sometimes is question of gesticulating, language of signs or other types of non-verbal communication to the wings and convey their point of... and the Cyrillic alphabet, certainly adds to the challenge! So if you want to make sure that no it end at the end badly in the country when I jump on a bus, you must take this into account! Anyway, if you get this right, Bulgaria is a great place to visit... here are some tips and fashion:
Nightlife in Sofia
Bulgaria is the perfect hideout for any frugal traveller. It is a getaway wine cheap in comparison to most other European tourist hotspots and can even search for a room of approximately 15 € by night in Sofia, the capital. Food must not retreat rather than a tenner a day if you know where to look and make use of vibrant markets in the city (don't forget haggle!) Sophia, I found to be a very compact and walkable city with a young, energetic and dynamic vibe to it... and most importantly, all these qualities were also reflected in its ' nightlife. There are a multitude of fashionable bars, bars and clubs around every corner. If you want a lot of expatriates of meetings should lead to 'Irish Pub JJ Murphy'. Another place worth visiting on their rides night is 'The apartment', which is an elegant combination of art, music and film. But, regardless of their whereabouts, verify that it displays some yummy melted Bulgarian
Rila Monastery
Firstly, this monastery, founded in the 9th century and declared a world heritage site by UNESCO in 1983, is only a mere two hours drive from Sofia (beware of all those dodgy roads shot bump) and makes that one wonders if he has set foot in a completely different world. The backdrop of the spectacular mountainous terrain is located and has massive walls with impressive frescoes. Monastery of the most renowned in the country has been a key part of the Bulgarian culture and religion for centuries and their environment back to ancient times. Only the strange monk wearing sunglasses of fantasy and chat away on shiny mobile phones will be given account is actually in the 21st century. A visit is more enjoyable in the low season, when the monastery were not relegated envelope by hordes of tourists "maleantes".

However Golf Florida is a good bet. If you're a fan of golf Orlando has many courses to choose from championship courses, courses and club which of course are more expensive. Survivor Sicily: A Guide to making the island right
Rather than just writing out the island as a place infested Mafia, Sicily has much to offer in terms of history, nature, price and continental presence Italy is jealous to some extent. Yes, you can survive Sicily and may even never want to leave. Interesting Sicily could be vacation for a long term stay.
When to go
Sicily in the summer can be like taking a shower in sweat 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The island has in the African air climb from the South and swelters in heat. If you want to avoid mosquitoes and sweat after a cold shower due to moisture blanketing, Sicily is best enjoyed when heat subsidies in spring and autumn. The climate is pleasant enough and go to the beach at the end of September. Winters can be hit or miss in Sicily, either bitterly cold at those clinging cities coast or mild and pleasant. My favorite time of year in Sicily should be early fall, when the Sun is still shining, but mosquitos and humidity have abandoned the island.
Where active
Some travelers may be held Italy and Sicily to be land of attractions sightseeing and not natural. However, Sicily is rich in natural resources. Perhaps the best place on the island active comes in Mount Etna, one of the most active volcanoes in Europe. Here you can hike, see even the flow of lava and in winter, skiing down the sides of Mount Etna. Fearing volcano, between Syracuse and "Grand Canyon" of Avola, Sicily itself presents an ideal walk. Cava Grande di Cassibile is a limestone Canyon. You can walk down the barrel while admiring tiny prehistoric dwellings carved into the sides of the rock. At the bottom, natural springs provide some cool for swimming.
What to see
Sicily is full of different architectural styles. Arab arches in Palermo to intricate mosaics of Norman in Cefalù, try playing "guess that the initiator of architecture" in Sicily. For a taste of Greece, head to Agrigento, where some of the best churches preserved in the Mediterranean. Pay a visit to the old city of Ortygia in Syracuse and marvel and the city's Cathedral. By your side, you can still do what used to be, a Greek temple to Athena the Baroque church.
How much?
In comparison with the rest of Italy, prices in Sicily are usually lower. A tasty Sicilian pizza can only decline a miserable 3-euro. Cappuccino can be euro 4 in Rome, but in Sicily will ring up to 1.50 euro. Gelato to the wine, Sicily is easier pay to Rome or Venice. Accommodation prices can be high, but if you choose to travel during the low season, rates were cut in half.
See Sicily shows the island almost isn't abandoning weapons and taking cannoli. The civilizations was fought for every inch of the island. If it is not saying how notable it is Sicily, their prices, places of interest, natural attractions and weather will convince to visit the Centre of the Mediterranean. Remember, as it is not in Kansas, a Sicilian, is not in Italy as well.

Three incredible experiences in Reykjavik
Despite my trips there a fair few things on my bucket list and a long weekend in Reykjavik hit three at once. As our taxi took us through the impeccably clean streets, brightly colored roofs glinting beneath the sparkling spring snow, felt an immediate affinity for the city. And do not allow outside Plácido cheat him, there's dynamism to the northernmost city of the worlds that burns bright with midnight oil. Day there are charming walks to take and excellent galleries and museums to visit and some cool night out clubs and bars, but for me there are three things that I just have to do...
Blue Lagoon and Gulfoss
One of Iceland most famous wondered natural, the Blue Lagoon is a teen film 80 corny but a geothermal spa in the middle of a field of lava that not only cleans the skin, but also the soul. As we soaked in steaming waters were stoked by the peace of mind. The light blue sky flew over the turquoise water as a security blanket. I could have been there forever, but reluctantly continue on. We are glad that I did when we saw the impressive cascade of Gulfoss and thermal incredible breath of Geysir and Strokkur…. it is well worth a visit.
Whale watching
This is, literally, an impressive activity that everyone should experience at least once in their life. Take one of the walks in ship leaving port of Reykjavik on a daily basis and will have an excellent opportunity to see a whole series of these majestic animals. We were lucky to mink spot, sperm, humpback and orca on our trip. Blue whales are also a regular visitor to the area.
Northern Lights
Aurora Borealis is one of the most spectacular natural phenomena that this planet has to offer. The best time to envision them is with a clear sky (unfortunately not guaranteed) between September and April. We take a coach tour of the city, but there are also private options. No matter how scientific mind, challenge anyone not blown away by the magic swirl of neon green and purple I flicker and propagate across the sky. It was truly an experience out of this world.

India Varkala | Accommodation, restaurants, shops, Show Kathakali | Varkala India, India bag, travel to the India
Varkala India This article
I spent 8 days in total in Varkala and enjoyed it almost every second.
I love the beach! And compared to Kovalam, Varkala is more laid-back and soothing. Just imagine a cliff surrounding a beach with luscious palm trees in the background. The sound of the ocean makes your thoughts flow away. Fruit sellers are yelling "Pineapple, pineapple madam", "Coconut, coconut" and at the same time crows are making awful noise.
The beach at North Cliff is in fact very nice if you look beneath it, but I'm sorry to say that it's buried in plastic, cans and bottles hanging from the cliff. It's very sad that the local government/population isn't doing anything. It's just laying there, like it was the most natural thing in the world.
For some years backpackers have preferred Varkala over Kovalam when they visited Kerala, because it's supposed to be less touristy.
I will tell you right away: Varkala has become touristy.
Varkala India: A LONG stairway
Don't get me wrong, Varkala was stunning and it was easy to get around. It was perfect for solo travelers like me. But it's overrated as a backpacker's destination. When I stayed at Shiva Garden I talked to travelers who have been to Varkala for the last decade.
I asked them: "So you have been here several times, you must love Varkala?"
Their answer was: "No, I love Shiva Garden, not Varkala anymore."
It's inevitable. Ever since the local government launched Kerala as 'God's Own Country' in 2000, the tourist arrivals have boomed in the state and especially along the coast.
Naturally, places like Varkala becomes touristy. On the bright side, even it was touristy I didn't feel it was overcrowded.
Backpackers, tourists, families, retirees and the hippies -? you will find them there.
Even if Varkala is touristy there are still some cheap rooms and cheap food. I will tell you about my experiences from Varkala, whether it was the food, the shopping and the 'tea-pot-beer'-drinking.
:-)
By air: The nearest airport is near Trivandrum. At the airport you can arrange pre-paid taxis to Varkala. The taxi booth is right next to the arrival exit -? you can't miss it.
By train: Several trains to Varkala leave cities and towns like Trivandrum (30 min-1 hour), Kochi (3-4 hours), Alleppey (2-3 hours), Kozhikode (8-8,5 hours) and Kollam (30 minutes).
Note: Most of the trains are on-time, but be prepared for delays as well.
For more information on train travel in India, visit this page
To get the cheapest train ticket (at least it was the cheapest I got), buy a train ticket directly at the train station.
Ask for General Quota -? unreserved seats.
A trip from Trivandrum to Varkala on General Quota cost me Rs 21, while a ticket through Cleartrip would have cost me Rs 58. The differences are small, but it's at least a way for budget travelers to save money on train travel.
If you buy General Quota unreserved seats, the seats are located in the first and last coach of the train.
The disadvantage about this type of ticket is that you're not guaranteed a seat. But if you're just going to Varkala, you're looking at a 30-minutes to 1-hour journey. It's feasible at Rs 21.
When you get off the train, there are Rickshaws and taxis waiting to take you to Varkala beach. It takes approximately 5-10 minutes to get there. For Rickshaws expect to pay between Rs 50-80 depending on your bargaining skills.
By bus: The bus routes I know about start from Trivandrum (Thampanoor bus stand) and Kollam, but I'm sure that you can get a bus to Varkala from other places in Kerala. One of my class mates took a bus from Ambalapuzha (30 minutes south of Alleppey) to Varkala and that cost her Rs 60.
By taxi: You can also a taxi to Varkala but it's of course expensive. We took a taxi from Varkala to Alleppey (we were 5 girls), and it cost Rs 2700 (they had to arrange a bigger car). If we were maximum four people, it would have cost us Rs 2100 to Alleppey. The taxi will usually pick you up at the guesthouse/hotel.
I arranged the ride at a travel agency right next to Little Tibet. Otherwise there's a taxi stand at the far south of North Cliff.
Important places to know about Varkala India:Pharmacies can be found along the stretch of North Cliff You can't find banks and ATMS at Varkala beach. You have to take a short rickshaw-ride to Varkala village (less than 5 minutes). When the Rickshaw drives downwards the main hill and towards the village, you'll see an ATM on the right side of the road. It's near the Temple Junction. Otherwise several travel agencies do cash withdrawals. There's a 3-4 % fee. There's no shortage of internet cafes in Varkala. They charge Rs 40 per hour, and the connection is slow.

Alleppey Kerala: Backwaters and Alleppey beach
Alleppey in Kerala, also known as Allapuzha (ala-po-rah), is often referred to as Venice of the East by travel magazines and local tourism government.
It neighbors Vembanad Lake. The network of canals and lagunes -- called the backwaters -- is the main reason why travelers visit Alleppey.
Since the 90s, the number of house boats have increased dramatically.
It started with a couple of house boats in the 90s, but as of today there are 500-600 house boats roaming the backwaters. They were originally used for cargo transport, but now most of them cater travelers and tourists.
The house boat industry in Kerala employs around 1800-2000 Keralites, including boat drivers and chefs.
Alleppey Kerala: Women at Muhamma coir sub-center (Alleppey district) Alleppey itself is quite small, and it's easy to get around. The city center around Mullackal road, is a dusty and a busy place, with traffic jams.
The lake side of town is the most charming part, with luscious jungle and lake side view. This is where many homestays and resorts are located :-)
If you want to cool down, you can visit Alleppey beach. Have in mind though that it's not regular custom to wear a bikini and jump into the water. The currents are very strong, and you will most likely experience staring from the locals.
Some of my class mates solved this problem. They found a resort on the beach, where other travelers where sunbathing in their bikinis. My class mates decided to 'join them'. This way, they felt more comfortable, and there were almost no locals nearby :-)

Beware that Alleppey is a mosquito magnet! Compared to other places in Kerala and India, this place has a high density of mosquitoes.
Kerala is the state with highest literacy rates in India, where 93,3 % of the population can read and write. This is due to the Communist Party in Kerala, who has been prioritizing education and health.
Alleppey and Kerala has its darker sides though. If you take the time to walk in the streets of Alleppey, you will notice long queues to government liquor shops, where local men are struggling to buy liquor.
Did you know that an average Keralite drinks more than 8 liters of alcohol per year?
It's sad that Kerala is also known for its alcoholics, and it has a strong connection to the high unemployment in the State.
By air: The nearest airport to Alleppey is Kochi airport.
For more information on how to get to/from Kochi airport, visit this article -- Kochi India Cheap flights to Kochi/Alleppey:

By bus: One of the cheapest ways of traveling in Kerala is by bus. Most inter-state buses stop at Central Bus station in Alleppey (KSRTC).

By taxi: Taking the taxi is obviously the most efficient way to travel from A to B. It's of course a lot more expensive than local transportation. But if you're traveling in a group, it can be economically manageable to take a taxi.
From Varkala to Alleppey we paid Rs 2700 for a taxi (February 2011), and we were 5 people. They had to arrange a bigger car for us, so that's why it was more expensive. If we were 4 people or less, it would have cost Rs 2300.
Alleppey Kerala: On a local bus Getting around: Auto rickshaws are the most common transportation in Alleppey. From Alleppey city center to Lake Side, we paid Rs 50 each time.
There are also local buses in Alleppey. From Lake Side to the city center, the cost is Rs 4,5.
Exploring Alleppey by foot is the most rewarding thing to do. As I mentioned earlier it's quite easy to get around.
We went by foot a lot of times when we stayed in Alleppey. But when the sun and humidity was too much for us, we took an auto.
